3-0

The Seabury Saints continued their winning ways yesterday. The Saints won 6-4. It was a defensive battle. The Saints got on the board early with three runs in the second inning. After that, the story was defense, defense, defense. Long Field is not a good playing surface for softball, which means that errors will be made. The Saints, however, got critical outs when they needed them.

We'll have to wait to see if the Saints maintain their #1 ranking.

Game Notes:
-Last Thursday's players of the game: Everyone who showed up. We won by forfeit.
-Yesterday's player of the game: I have to give it to Hope who made a great catch at 3B and added a hit.
-Ryan is one win away from getting his hair altered for graduation.

So before coming to Seabury the last time I played softball was in the 5th grade. We had a tradition on that team that the coach would give the game ball to the MVP after each game. One day we had a substitute coach, who didn't believe in this tradition. He gave me the game ball that day because he believed I was the player most in need of practice.

For this reason, I am touched to be named player of the game, and I'm going to email my father and tell him to read your blog.

Ryan, sharpen your clippers....
