Ok, I've been tagged. Thanks to Susie for bringing my blog back to life.
List your six favorite songs and tag six others to do the same
Of course, this is an impossible task, and I reserve the right to change my mind. I am intentionally listing only songs prior to 2000. This is not to suggest that everything after the new millennium was crap. I tend to think, however, that it takes time for a song to make its way into your list.
So, in no particular order:
1) "Mercy Street," Peter Gabriel
2) "Woman in Chains," Tears for Fears (not what it sounds like)
3) "This Woman's Work," Kate Bush
4) "Say Goodnight," Beth Nieslon Chapman
5) "Hold On," Sarah MacLachlan
I don't have enough time to list six folks, but I must admit that I would really love to hear from AKMA and Trevor on this one.

Posted by: Susie at June 15, 2005 02:29 AMSusie, yes, the same. In fact, BNC's whole album, "Sand and Water," is a great, great album. She wrote many of the songs in response to the death of her husband. It is beautifully sad, a powerful set of songs.
