Here is the Word...

"Sustained"

Yes, it happened. I successfully defended my dissertation. I actually had fun in my defense. The PTS faculty and I had a very good and interesting discussion. A good friend who came to Princeton asked me how I feel. Truthfully, I am overwhelmed with gratitude.

Now it's time to party!

Praise to the Lord who [has and shall] prosper thy way and defend [and sustain] thee!

Frank, we DID pray for you at Eucharist today;yours was the last in a list [Like Judy Garland (or was it Spencer Tracy) who was the last credit in Judgement at Nurenburg (the other was first)], you're the more noteable for being so.

Candles at your shrine were alight. I went into our glorious library where light was everywhere at the 12:30 [Central] time. Lord, if Frank is early and they call him early, let him be serene and composed. If Frank is early and they call him on time, let him be able to gather himself into your care. Notwithstanding, be beside him and about him as a friend and sustainer, both now and forever more!... or something like that.

I NEVER read others' Blogs, but in this case, I made an exception.

Blest are you, Doctor Frank!

Can you hear us cheering? Theology class was just interupted to give us the opportunity to celebrate. The applause are just now dying down. We're so proud of you. (Although, we are not the least bit surprised, Dr. Yamada.)
