Resources For The Study of the New Testament

In this blog, I’ll post some links to recommended resources for the study of the New Testament. I’ll keep a bibliographic list of links to commentaries, monographs, and articles at the top of a page. That list will change over time, as I learn more or encounter problems with one or another source. After the initial section, I’ll put a horizontal rule

beneath which I’ll write my observations about particular works in the field in question. I’ll leave these open to moderated comments, so that others can make suggestions (to sources I may add above), question my judgment (politely), or otherwise bring to light matters that I hadn’t considered explicitly. As I say, the commentas will be open, but moderated; I will not approve for publication flame wars, ad hominem criticism, or any other entries that don’t befit the tenor of this discussion space.

The point of this blog is not to displace the good work others do in this regard, but to serve as a durable answer to the question students, alums, clergy, and geneeral visitors always ask me: “Do you know of any good books or articles on that?” These pages will serve as my answer —with space for feedback from conversation partners.
