Professor Ellen Wondra Named Editor of Anglican Theological Review
Ellen Wondra was named new editor of the Anglican Theological Review at the annual board meeting in October. She has been active on the AnglicanTheological Review (ATR) Board since 1989, and most recently Chair of the Editorial Committee and then Associate Editor. The ATR is a quarterly journal of theological reflection. For eighty-eight years, the ATR has been the unofficial organ of the seminaries of the Episcopal Church in the United States and the Anglican Church of Canada.
Ellen is Professor of Theology and Ethics at Seabury. She is a member of the Standing Commission on Ecumenical Relations and the Anglican-Roman Catholic Consultation in the USA (ARCUSA). Her current projects include a book, Problems with Authority: Theology and the Practice of Authority in the Episcopal Church, and on a number of articles on the same topic. With Owen C. Thomas, she is co-author of the third edition of Introduction to Theology. She edited and introduced a collection of the works of F. D. Maurice, Reconstructing Christian Ethics, and has published essays on liturgical renewal, on theology, and on theological ethics. She holds the B.A. from Pomona College, the M.Div. from CDSP, and the Ph.D. from the Divinity School of the University of Chicago.
