Extension Education Programs
In addition to summer residency programs, the Seabury Institute has offered opportunities from time to time for church leaders to participate in the Advanced Studies in Congregational Development programs by taking some of their course work in their own diocese. These extension programs have been made possible through the creation of partnerships with several dioceses of the Episcopal Church.
Participation in extension programs leading to the degree of Doctor of Ministry permit up to half the coursework to be taken locally in conjunction with a summer residency at the home campus of Seabury-Western Theological Seminary and the completion of a thesis project under the guidance of the resident faculty.
We currently do not have opportunities for taking courses in extension but we are accepting applications for our D.Min. in Congregational Development residency program which will begin a new cohort in July, 2007.
