Giving Opportunities: Making your Gift
How can you make your gift?
Seabury accepts cash, credit card, automatic debits or securities. There are also many opportunities for planned giving to support Seabury into its future.
Pledge
A gift may be pledged and paid over a period of time to be determined by the donor. Seabury's fiscal year is July to June, so Seabury Annual Fund pledges must be fulfilled by June 30th.
Matching Gifts
Many corporations have matching gift programs which support various non-profit organizations, including Seabury. The company for which you or your spouse works may match any cash or stock gift you make - sometimes on a $2-for-$1 basis, or more. Check with your company's business office for specifics.
Appreciated Securities
For those who own securities or other capital assets that have appreciated in value, transferring them to Seabury can result in significant tax savings for the donor. You may obtain a tax deduction for the full value of the asset, up to thirty percent of your adjusted gross income, and avoid paying capital gains tax if the asset were to have sold.
Memorial or Honorary Gifts
Memorial and honorary gifts may be made in memory of a friend, teacher or family member or in recognition of a special person or priest, ministry, graduation, ordination, anniversary, reunion or other significant event.
