The Seabury Fund includes all contributions
to be used for any purpose within the seminary's budget for current operations.
Such gifts may be used for, or offset, budgeted costs for scholarships,
salaries, maintenance and any other items included in the seminary's annual
operating budget. Gifts to the Seabury Fund are commonly made with no designation
which allows the seminary to allocate those gifts for priority needs, such
as scholarships. Donors may, however wish to designate the use of their
gifts, such as for library or special programs. The seminary always honors
such designations.
The Seabury Fund is synonymous with annual fund or annual
giving. Such gifts represent more than 20% of Seabury's annual operating
budget, a fact that underscores their importance. The Seabury Fund does
not include any gifts for endowment or capital purposes.
